Dear Parents and Students,

I am excited to welcome you to the 2021 - 2022 school year at Sekolah Lentera Kasih. Our teachers and staff had been busy preparing classrooms and school for an exciting year of learning and growth. They have planned activities that will foster students’ communication, collaborative, creativity and critical thinking skills to help students continue their positive trajectory.

This year we will start teaching our students 3D design, 3D printing, coding and robotics in their Innovation class. I am continually impressed by our teachers’ dedication to make attractive and stimulating lessons to help our students learn, become independent thinkers and ready to face 21st century challenges.

Student success is the goal of every staff member at SLK. We equip students with skills not only using Cambridge curriculum but also Indonesian National curriculum, so our students can have choices of continuing their education abroad or in Indonesia. We work collaboratively to implement standards by designing skill-specific lessons and assessments to monitor student progress. I ask for your support and involvement in this effort by encouraging your child to share what they learned at school each day, monitoring homework, projects and other assignments, and helping her/him to read every night.

I look forward to continue working with you to ensure we provide engaging and rigorous opportunities for our students to learn daily at Lentera Kasih.

It is with great pleasure and joy that I welcome you to Sekolah Lentera Kasih. I am excited and thrilled for you to visit our school’s website to learn more about the great and wonderful students, staff, and programs we have to offer.

As Principal I am extremely glad and proud by the commitment of the school and the staff to the provision of an excellent all-round education for our students in our state of the art facilities. Under my leadership, and as a team working together, we strongly promote building character and academic excellence and achievement among our students. The cultural, sporting, and other successes of all of our students and staff are also proudly celebrated together.

Sekolah Lentera Kasih is an innovative school drawing on the character, talents, and skills of staff, students, and parents to provide a host of educational programs and projects. We have a reputation of excellence and we will continue to strive to become the best. We are about to board upon a new school year with great passion, enthusiasm, and expectation of new opportunities that will improve our instructional program and school community as a whole. Wholesome participation is encouraged in the wider range of extra-curricular activities on offer and care is also taken to ensure the well-being and character of each and every student in the school.

Dear All,

When I was back to Indonesia after years of living abroad, I was quite concerned about my children's schooling since there were no schools that could offer quality education. For the sake of giving the best preschool education to them, I started the first Lollypop in 1993. At that time, we were one of the first National Plus Schools in North Jakarta that offered the English language as the medium of instruction.

Since then, I realized that not only my children but many of the children out there deserved the best preschool education as well. Therefore, with that aim in mind, I started to open Lollypop branches, other preschools and even elementary to high schools as demanded by our ever supporting parents.

Sometimes if I sit down in solace and reminisce the dream that I once had for my own children, I feel satisfied that I have been a part of many children's lives and I truly believe that we have given them the best quality education that will be cherished for a lifetime.

In this pandemic time, for sure, parents have been looking for a good and reputable preschool, ready to take on challenges and whose teachers are equipped and able to make learning engaging and fun even in an online teaching-learning platform. We are confident to say that we are able to deliver our curriculum.

Lollypop Preschool has been nurturing young minds for more than 25 years, more than two decades of providing quality education to young learners but we still maintain the good reputation of academic excellence.

Our school keeps on growing stronger and better with our excellent academic program, our team of qualified and experienced expatriate and local teachers and staff along with our fun and enriching activities. We also use a personalized approach which heeds to various learning techniques and individual's pace of learning, coupled with love and discipline in a conducive, healthy, friendly, safe and caring learning environment.

We are authorized to deliver an international program to our students, the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) from the UK and we are on its third year implementing it effectively and efficiently to our students. It uses international best practices, holistic enquiry and play-based approaches and covers all curriculum areas and early years foundation stage: cognitive, personal, social and emotional development and we are doing the utmost to deliver it to young minds to prepare them to tackle 21st century challenges.

We believe in the significance of this popular African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child" as parent's collaboration is crucial for the holistic development of our students. With the challenges ahead of us, the concerted efforts of parents can truly make a difference in our children. We will also continue to remain committed and dedicated in order to achieve our mission and vision, give our students high academic standards and build strong character foundation to create lifelong learners.
